Q: How do I place a rental order or request a quote?

A: We are thrilled to introduce our online inquiry system! You can select the items you are interested in and submit your wishlist by clicking here. A representative will get back to you with further details. You can submit your wishlist at any time of day or night, whenever works best for you. Q: What types of payment do you accept?

A: All major credit cards (4% fee applies), checks, Zelle, cash and Venmo. Conrad’s Concessions requires a valid credit card on file to secure the rental date as all rental are subjected to availability. 

Q: When should I place my rental order?

A: We recommend you submit your rental order as soon as you know the details of your event so that we may check availability of your desired rental items and delivery/pick up dates. Typically clients will reserve our services about 3-6 weeks prior to their scheduled events. We welcome last minute requests so long as we have the staff and machines to properly accommodate you.

Q: Are you insured?

A: Of course! If you or your event venue requires a certificate of insurance or a COI, let us know a head of time and we will create one for you. All we will need is the name and address you’d like as the certificate holder.

Q: What states do you service?

A: Our standard delivery area includes the following states: 

 

  • New York
  • New Jersey
  • Connecticut
  • Pennsylvania

Q: Can I place an order in an area that you do not service?

A: This is a very common question. If we cannot deliver to you, we always makes our machines available for pick up at our store in Bergenfield by appointment only. We give our clients a day grace period when picking up and dropping off. For example if your event is on a Friday, you’re more than welcome to come on Thursday and simply return on Sunday or Monday. We will still give you a tutorial on the machine(s) and load up your vehicle for you. There are no applicable delivery fees for doing so.

Q: How far in advance do you deliver prior to my event?

A: This all depends on the machine you’re renting. Our ice cream and frozen drink products take about two hours to freeze. Everything else we typically deliver about an hour prior to your event.

Q: What fees may apply to my order?

A: Your order may incur delivery fees or charges if there is a large distance between us and your event location, or if it requires additional labor or services.

Q: Do you setup and breakdown the rental products?

A: With delivery yes! Our delivery/pick up team will setup and breakdown several of our rental products. If you do not require an attendant or server, we will ensure you’re comfortable operating the machine before taking off. We provide verbal and written instructions with all our products.

Q: When is payment due for my order?

A: All outstanding balances need to be remitted no later than three business days prior to your scheduled event. The only form of payment we accept the day of is cash – but please note we require a card on file regardless.

Q: My event is tax exempt. How can I reflect this on my order?

A: Applicable sales tax will be waived. Please email your tax exempt certificate to us via email prior.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: You may cancel your order any time no later than two days after you’ve remitted your deposit and no fees will be incurred. Cancelling your order after so will result in a 50% cancellation fee. All deposits are non-refundable. 

Q: What is your postponement policy?

A: Stuff happens - we get it! This implies that you want to keep your order but just move it to a different date. No problem! You may change your event date without any incurred fee up to 36 hours prior to delivery. Notifying us after so will result in a 50% postponement fee. 

Q: What if I break or misplace something while the items are in my possession?

A: All customers are responsible for lost, broken or misplaced items (it happens!). You may incur additional charges for such. We do not a universal breakage fee on our orders as each order is handled accordingly. 

Q: Do I need to clean or wash any of the rental equipment prior to pick up or return?

A: Nope! No cleaning required! All we ask is that there is no product in the machines upon pick up (ex. no popcorn in the popcorn cart / no sugar in the cotton candy maker, no left over drink mix in the frozen drink machine etc.).

Q: How much alcohol do I need for the frozen drink machines?

A: We can’t stress enough that everyone’s tolerance is different. We tell all our clients to lean on the conservative side when adding alcohol to the machine because if you add too much…you’re s**t out of luck – you can’t get it out. However if you add some sparingly, and it’s not where you want to be, you can always add more. Typically clients will use about a half of a bottle per chamber of a standard 750 ml. bottle of alcohol.

Q: What do I need to provide for the ice cream machines?

A: A sturdy table and a gallon of whole milk per single machine or per batch. We will provide you with the mix (product), cups and spoons. Toppings (sprinkles, syrups etc.) are optional.

Q: How many cupfuls of product can I get out of the frozen drink or ice cream machine?

A: For the frozen drink makers, if you use 9 oz. cups or smaller the single machine will make 45 servings, the double will make about 95 and the triple will make about 125. For the soft serve ice cream makers, each single machine will make between 40 – 50 servings if you use 6 oz. cups or smaller.

Q: Is an attendant necessary?

A: No but in some circumstances it’s highly recommended, indicative of higher volume events. Some of our machines automatically include an attendant at no extra charge, such as our Fresh Orange Juicer, photo booth and Honey-Roasted Nut Cart, Funnel Cake, Coffee or Waffle Stations. As with all our machines, you can elect an attendant if you want amore hands-off approach. 

Q: Do you offer Kosher products?

A: Yes! Our chocolate for the chocolate fountains are, cotton candy sugar, pretzels, frozen drink mix and ice cream mix are. The ice cream mix is dairy based with the exception of our sorbet flavors.
